1970's - Early Work
For most of the 1970's, while in art school, I became deeply involved in making large, spare -- often monochromatic -- color field paintings.
Eventually I started feeling that I was following a formula and became curious about what sorts of imagery lurked within my imagination. Thus I began exploring shape, color and personal iconography.
